well, i finished my first box of mantic elves. very impressed with the mini's and they are lots of fun to paint up. i cannot wait to move on to more of them. as such, i have a bolt thrower primed and awaiting the attentions of my paintbrush!

A new year, a new outlook on the plan

Hello everyone. I would like to start by wishing everyone a happy new year. Hooray 2010!

anyway, i thought i would post an update. recently i have bought and traded for several more items to take my armies to tournament (2250 pts) level each.

I then decided that since all i have to do is build and paint the remaining miniatures i have in my possesion.

To make this happen i have decided that until all of the miniatures i have (including painting projects i never got around to) are painted i will not be buying any more models and instead will put my wargaming funds away in a stash for a new start after said backlog is completed.

This "new start" will introduce a rotating system to my buying and painting habits. Within this change i will buy, build, and paint up to the next level of points for one of my four armies and then rotate to the next army, repeat the process, and continue on.

This elimminates the need for a "backlog" of miniatures and frees up some wieght from my shoulders so that i can continue my building and painting at a steady pace without having to play catch up.

Thats it for this update, although i may post again tonight with pictures of my current works.

Hi everyone!

just got back from my christmas vacation (i still have a week off school though) and picked up my order at the FLGS.

$55 USD got me two bolt throwers and 20 elves, as well as a tin of flock.

expect some lovely pictures soon.

oh, and a shout out to Bill from the cruise! have a happy new year man!

well, i'm off on vacation tommorow. my parents have created a laptop-free zone around my person, such that all updates are stalled untill the 28th.

just thought i'd wish everyone a warm christmas before packing!

santa rides a chopper!

well, i think santa game me a preloaded gift this year. i participated in one of many forums secret santa's this year, and for my gift i got something really good.

i got a chaplin/librarian custom bitz kit this year. basically santa threw a space marine bike in with a handful of really good bitz ( ravenwing bike front, dark angel power maul, black templar power axe, a little censer on a chain.)

in any event, its one more warrior in my ever growing imperial coalition forces.

the rider and his "Sleigh" will be featured in the blog in later posts.
